SCS Home Entertainment has partnered with C.E.S. Complete Electronic Solutions, to hold a charitable event to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital while offering responsible electronic recycling to area residents.
C.E.S., an electronic disposal company, and SCS, the area’s locally owned retail store for all things entertainment, would like to offer the public disposal of old electronics and TV’s, and donate the proceeds to St. Jude. The electronic disposal event that will be held from Friday April 11th through Sunday April 13th, 2014 in the parking lot of SCS Home Entertainment.
“As the locally-owned leader in entertainment electronics, we believe it is our duty to offer residents responsible and cost effective ways to recycle their unwanted electronics. In addition, as parents, grandparents and Missouri residents, we believe it is our responsibility to ensure every child is given the chance to live a happy and healthy life. That is why we have chosen to partner is this event,” said Larry Batson, owner of SCS Home Entertainment.
There will be a minimum donation charge of $10 per vehicle of electronics, with the money going directly to St. Jude’s. Persons recycling any old CRT or tube-style TV’s will require an additional $10 disposal fee (Normally $20) per TV to ensure proper disposal. All other electronics are free to dispose of with your $10 donation. The event will be held at SCS Home Entertainment, 2868 S. Glenstone, in the front parking lot on the corner of Glenstone and Battlefield Rd. Recyclers will be onsite all three days from 10am – 4pm.
